File-explorer interface for interactive 3D models
A browser-based file explorer with interactive previews of OBJ models exported from SolveSpace.
Goal
Browse a collection of CAD exercises with a familiar file-explorer interface and inspect each model directly in the browser.
Constraints
OBJ geometry needed to load from browser-accessible paths and display at useful scale despite differences between exported models.
Process
I built a file-tree UI and a model-preview pane using React Router and React Three Fiber. Models were loaded with OBJLoader, centered and scaled for viewing. I worked through public-path loading issues and TypeScript definitions for the file and folder structure.
Result
A working foundation for navigating and previewing SolveSpace OBJ exports. The available notes do not establish a completed public release.
