Behind the archive

About me

I'm Jordy, a software development student in the Netherlands. I enjoy figuring out how things work, then trying to build or change them myself.

A lot of my work starts with software: web applications, games, and tools. But the same curiosity keeps pulling me into electronics, circuit design, CAD, 3D printing, and other creative work.

What you'll find here

This isn't only a selection of polished final results. I also want to show experiments, technical decisions, unfinished directions and what I learned along the way. Some projects began as school assignments; others started because I wanted to understand a particular problem.

In Made, projects have their own pages with visuals, key characteristics and notes on the process. Have is for things I collect and keep track of; Want is for ideas and things I'd like to explore next.

Why jordy.zip?

I liked the idea of a personal archive: one place for things that wouldn't necessarily belong together on a conventional portfolio. The file-system-inspired navigation is part of that idea, but the projects are the point—not the metaphor.
