Three-bit number guessing game using digital logic
A three-bit number guessing game designed with logic circuits and documented in KiCad schematics and PCB layouts.
Goal
Implement a small number guessing game through digital logic, with a three-bit value represented and processed by a circuit rather than software.
Constraints
The submitted circuit files use discrete logic components and timers. The archive contains both digital logic simulator files and KiCad schematic and board documents; the exact final hardware build and test outcomes are not recorded in those files.
Process
Working independently, I developed comparator and translation logic, with separate circuit simulation files for the comparator and related logic. The KiCad design contains NE555 timer stages, a 4029 counter, a 74LS283 adder, 4000-series logic gates, DIP switches, an LED, a buzzer, and power-regulation components. Both schematic revisions and a PCB layout are present in the project archive.
Result
Created a digital-logic design documented by simulation circuits, KiCad schematics and a PCB layout. The provided archive does not itself prove the board was manufactured or that every physical test passed.
