Parametric CAD practice challenges in SolveSpace

A collection of SolveSpace practice models, with editable originals and interactive previews of sketches turned into solid parts.

PROJECT NOTES

Goal

Learn SolveSpace by working through small CAD drawing challenges, building familiarity with its sketch-based parametric workflow before approaching functional parts.

Constraints

The original native SolveSpace files are the surviving record. The original challenge briefs and target drawings are not available, so I cannot claim dimensional accuracy against the exercises. The OBJ exports provide visual previews, while the native SolveSpace files remain the editable source.

Process

I worked through numbered models from Challenge_1 to Challenge_11, with alternate revisions of Challenges 3 and 8, and saved three additional experiments as Random_Challenge files. The native project histories contain sketch-in-plane and extrusion groups, with lathe operations also appearing in Challenge_6 and Random_Challenge_1.

I kept the editable .slvs projects rather than treating exported meshes as the source of truth. The collection captures both successive exercises and exploratory files, including one very small final experiment.

Result

Sixteen original SolveSpace files are preserved in the downloadable Tutorial archive, with fourteen interactive OBJ previews across the tutorial and uncategorized collections. Three additional CAD Album parts have previews generated from their separately supplied editable .slvs files. These are learning exercises, not individually validated engineering designs or manufactured parts.
